Ilias Karras
Ilias Karras was born at 1973 in Ivanovo Russia. He graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts and has studied Technology of Graphic Arts in Athens. Ilias Karras’ paintings are not simply two-dimensional; they are transformed by an internal light that gives life to their figures, pulling them out of their backgrounds. Full of meaning, but at the same time weightless, they float in the room like three-dimensional sculptures in a harmonic, non-chaotic way, communicating and interacting with the viewer. The artist treats the human body with great respect, but at the same time he reveals its supernatural dimension in a bold and knowledgeable fashion.
