For its sixth edition, Community Clash! features two incredible artists, Bartholot and Hara Katsiki, in co-operation with SomoS Art House. This bimonthly group art exhibition presents a selection of Berlin-based artists within the Artconnect Berlin network. Hara Katsiki and Bartholot individually have very powerful projects, but have also worked together in the past creating some amazing pieces.
Hara Katsiki is a Berlin based visual artist, born in Greece. Though mainly known for illustration, she expresses her creative vision across all types of media: drawing, painting, graphic & costume design, animation and music. Her work delves into realms of the subconscious, is populated by fantastic figures and otherworldly creatures, and decorated by surreal and highly stylised aesthetic. She resembles a dream world where imagination and reality come together. This self taught artist gives birth to fairytale like landscapes and odd creatures, using chaotic ink stains, and creating infinite labyrinths of lines.
Bartholot is a German Berlin based visual artist creating iconic imagery with a focus on photography and artistic direction at the interface between art and design. He creates fictional characters and explores textures and colours without aiming to make a definite statement. His artistic process is playful and often improvisatory, allowing things to evolve naturally in the moment.
