The theatre is the focal point for this festival, which includes plays, cabaret, variété, concerts, street theatre and other performing arts, street painting, visual art & photo exhibitions, lectures and forums. It covers an area in the city center of Athens where most streets have French names, located off Omonia and Vathi squares, up to Karaiskaki and Metaxourgio squares and Larissa station. It’s the neighborhood of the National Conservatory, the National Theatre, the theatres Alma, Aggelon Vima, Argo, Dilos, Arhi, and of many other theatres and place of historic importance such as the building of Finos Film, the Music Cafe Akrovatis, et al. The festival is organized by The Athens Art Network, which was created by independent art groups with the aim of making the best of artistic volunteer work, giving prominence to Greece’s artistic potential and boosting cultural and social values in Athens.
