Aphe Architecture Studio has transformed a compact apartment by rethinking the idea of spatial boundaries. Instead of solid walls and doors, the studio created a sequence of layered transitions where passage and boundary coexist. The layout encourages fluid movement through spaces that are softly divided by translucent screens and curved geometries. At the entrance, an unconventional shower placement becomes a feature rather than a constraint, enclosed by glass blocks and framed by a colored door that introduces light and warmth. Natural materials such as wood, ochre tones, sandy textures and glass define the interior. Their combination creates a sensory experience that shifts throughout the day, guided by the changing light. Rather than focusing on flexibility or function alone, the design explores how architecture can foster relationships—between spaces, materials, and the people who inhabit them.
