MONOspace is popping up in London for the forth time and this May it is opening its doors in the neighborhood of Angel, presenting a concept inspired by the celebrated Greek beaches. The light, the sand and the white pebbles, the white and blue colors of the Cyclades and the crystal clear seawaters of Greece have been MONO team’s inspiration for their new curation. MONOspace Islington will carry summer “made in Greece” essentials from young and emerging Greek designers and brands.
Handmade leather sandals, playful jewellery, beach-ready towels and coverups, chic scarves and accessories, handcrafted homeware, premium quality soaps and herbal teas, all produced in Greece, will be showcased for two weeks in order to kit you out for the summer holidays. MONOspace Islington will open from Wednesday the 11th to the Wednesday the 25th of May 2016, on 196 Upper Street, Ν1 2UQ, London.
MONOspace is a new mobile fashion concept store – giving a UK platform for exclusive pieces by emerging contemporary Greek designers – that is popping up in different London locations. Each space is curated to reflect the aesthetic character of the neighborhood it temporarily inhabits. Founded by Marina Bury Christellou and Myrta Mitropoulou, both 31 and friends since high school, MONO represents their shared passion for creating a positive, inspirational and exciting platform to help take the “made in Greece” creativity a step further into the global fashion and design arena.
