COCO-MAT bike

It was February 2011, when the founder of COCO-MAT Paul Evmorfidis with his son Willem, decided to make the Amsterdam-Athens bike tour! During the trip, their metal bikes were ruined often, so Paul decided to create the best bike that would make the difference. His love for nature and natural materials made him select wood as construction material and create a handmade bike, the coco-mat.bike. From timber selection and processing, to bike creation, the hands and passion of their team, are the basic equipments and control points. The real heroes of the bicycle are the artisans of coco-mat.bike, who transfer love and knowledge to the wood, using their hands. The bicycle is fully handcrafted and unique (not using any CNC machine). With every bicycle purchase, COCO-MAT plants a tree in the cocomat.bike park with the name of their client.
