The store highlights leather—the foundation of Esiot’s handmade sandals and shoes—while celebrating its unique qualities. Katri’s design is inspired by leather’s dual nature, balancing its soft surface with a rugged texture. The store features two main zones: the front stage and the backstage. On the front stage, warm earthy tones like terracotta, deep brown, and burnt orange create an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. Central spotlights showcase the carefully arranged footwear, while globe wall fixtures illuminate a vitrine that beckons passersby. The polished look is complemented by a poured concrete floor and textured elements that add an authentic touch. Custom sculpted Styrofoam units, designed from the shoe patterns, serve as seating and display podiums, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to handmade craftsmanship. Behind a dramatic curtain, the backstage area reveals a raw, workshop-inspired aesthetic with rough textures and DIY LED lighting. This space creates a seamless connection to the basement storage and mezzanine office, emphasizing the working nature of the brand.
