Ambiente Studio has completed the sensitive restoration of a hilltop house in Chorefto, a coastal village on the eastern side of Mount Pelion in Greece. Perched above the sea and enveloped by wild greenery, the home -now known as The Lighthouse– draws its name from its elevated position and expansive views across the bay. The house was carefully reimagined to preserve its intimate scale and emotional resonance. With no road access, every material and object was considered with intention. Lightweight structural solutions were favoured, and vintage furniture was repurposed throughout the interior. The colour palette and tactile details reference the local topography, from the rocky terrain to the shifting tones of the Aegean. The result is a space that feels deeply grounded, at once personal and open, modest and expansive.
