In Pagrati, So Far has reimagined a 100-square-metre shop into the new home of Frabala, a clothing and jewelry store where craftsmanship and memory meet contemporary ease. The space carries a long and layered history, from a 1970s flower workshop to an auto repair shop and later a photography studio. Rather than erasing these traces, the architects chose to reveal them gently, creating a setting that feels both grounded and renewed. A soft two-tone palette -warm beige below, deep burgundy above- reshapes the sense of height while framing the original mosaic floor, which remains as a quiet witness to the past. Natural wood brings warmth, and simple concrete blocks hint at the building’s rougher origins. Together, they form a calm balance of textures that invite touch and presence. Furniture is kept deliberately minimal, allowing the products to take center stage. Jewelry displays are carved with subtle recesses that frame each piece like a small scene, while fabric curtains introduce softness and continuity, hiding old mezzanines without erasing them. At the heart of the shop, the jewelry workshop has been brought into view. Once tucked away at the back, it now becomes part of the visitor’s experience. Without spectacle or excess, the renovation restores a sense of between past and present, material and maker, shop and neighborhood.
