The Round Buttonย is a design-decor project created by graphic designerย Alexandra Papadimouliย in 2014. Her basic idea was to create designs that would combineย minimalistic Nordic style with themes inspired by Aegean Shapes.
The most special place of the Aegean and her main inspiration source is the island of Tinos: the sea with the ever-changing colors and moods, the strong yet refreshing winds, the rough and proudly standing rocks, the wise local architecture and a culture that has been shaped in conversation with the surrounding nature. The creative process starts while strolling around the island’s most peculiar places, in order to discoverย architecturalย shapes and natural elements that can be later redesigned.
As Alexandra saysย “I wish my designs can find their way to the homes of people who love the Aegean as much as I do, and to the homes of visitors who want to take a memory of it with themโฆโ
While it began as an e-shop with prints, the project now involvesย collaborating with architects & decoratorsย for the decoration of homes, hotels and office spaces.
