Trikene Distillery
Founded in 1901 by brothers Panos and Tasos Trikenes, Trikene Distillery is a historic producer of ouzo located in the heart of Messolonghi, Greece. The distillery was born from a cherished family recipe passed down through generations, originating from the brothers’ grandfather, a shipowner from Kefalonia. Known for its distinct anise flavor, Trikene Ouzo quickly became a local icon, the first of its kind in Aitoloakarnania.
For over a century, the distillery has been a social hub in Messolonghi, where locals gathered to share stories over glasses of ouzo, creating a space where history, culture, and craftsmanship meet. The recently restored distillery preserves its rich legacy while seamlessly integrating modern architectural elements, offering a fresh chapter in the distillery’s long history.
