ORC European Championship by Semiotik Design Agency

ORC European Championship is the biggest team sailing race in Europe and for this year’s race Semiotik Design Agency was invited to design a series of trophies, for both overall and single race winners. The combination of the racing boat’s sail and mast, is the basic idea behind the overall winner’s trophy, while all single race trophies are designed as part of the first. Steel, aluminium, chrome, polycarbonate plastic, wood and fabric are the core materials used in the design, delivered with a high level of craftsmanship in both print applications and material combinations. The winner’s position is highlighted through the use of custom typography, inspired by the racing boat’s route and accompanied by a strong fluorescent line working as colour coding, while any other numeric elements are written in full.
