Bananostafido by VORĀ Design Studio transforms a humble snack into a sustainable taste of Cretan nature

Bananostafido, a unique vegan snack from NAMI Banana Farming in Crete, reimagines the short-lived freshness of organic bananas by drying them into a long-lasting treat. Named by blending “banana” and “stafida” (Greek for raisin), each Bananostafido embodies the essence of six fresh bananas, offering a zero-waste, shelf-stable delight. VORA Design Studio’s packaging mirrors the journey of a banana peel, with brown embossed spots that echo natural marks from outdoor cultivation and aging. A perforation, designed to mimic the act of peeling, invites consumers to open the package with a single, intuitive motion. Inside, the pale yellow inner box, along with a hand-applied NAMI logo sticker, reflects the vibrant freshness of Crete’s bananas, turning Bananostafido into a delightful and sustainable experience.
