Inspired by the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East and the resulting changes at a sociopolitical and economic level, the Localeast collection of PCP aims at reproducing the Arab tradition through a modern and dynamic perspective. In its surrealistic photoshoot, the flashy colors of the collection stand for the hopes and dreams of the modern Middle Eastern woman, in an attempt to bring together fashion and art in the midst of ‘universal cataclysm’. Led by siblings Petros and Pela Papachristou, PCP specializes in leggings and swimwear, keeping up with a long family tradition (their grandfather ran a clothing company of his own). Inspired by urban culture, they experiment with different materials trying to combine different textures, working with premium quality fabrics to create clean-cut shapes.
