Studiolav’s ‘Enchanted Forest’ transformed tradition into a contemporary festive wonderland

In 2023, Studiolav transformed the One & Only Aesthesis Athens into a festive wonderland with their enchanting ‘Enchanted Forest’ concept. Inspired by the mischievous kalikatzaroi of Greek folklore, the installation blended playful storytelling with timeless elegance, creating a magical journey for guests. At the heart of the project was a bespoke collection of plush toys and ornaments, handmade by local artisans using luxurious fabrics from the Nona Source collection. These whimsical characters adorned the hotel’s centerpiece Christmas tree and enhanced a theatrical path of greenery, twinkling lights, and oversized ornaments leading to the grand stairwell. The spatial installation celebrated theatricality and enduring aesthetics. Clusters of trees with forest greenery and shimmering lights transformed the space into a magical woodland, while larger-than-life ornaments added grandeur. This harmonious fusion of whimsy and sophistication captured the season’s essence, offering guests an unforgettable sensory experience.
