In the centre of Kypseli, a subtle renovation speaks to the layers of city life. Mithimnis 35, a 1950s apartment block once home to a family and their photo shop, has been brought back with care by Resi Company. The building’s marble staircases, terrazzo floors and wooden windows were kept and restored—worn but full of character. Inside, traces of the past remain. Old photos, once developed here, echo a time when Kypseli was both a busy hub and a close-knit neighbourhood. Today, the area is finding its rhythm again. As it reclaims its place as one of Athens’ most vibrant quarters, this building is both a reflection of its heritage and a step toward its future. It is a place where memory and modernity coexist carefully, consciously, and with grace.
