Daphne Christoforou an illustrator fascinated by ancient oriental artwork such as Hindu imagery, Tibetan iconography and Indian Miniature painting. She is drawn to the visual richness, naiveté and historical context of this imagery, but most importantly to its depth of meaning and link with eastern philosophy and spirituality. These are elements that she aims to incorporate in her work, with a contemporary twist. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Daphne Christoforou was awarded the V&A Student Illustrator of the Year Award in London as well as two Adobe Achievement Awards in L.A.
