For her debut home collection, artist Theodora Miller translates the emotional language of her paintings into a series of wallcoverings and textiles inspired by memory, landscape and her enduring connection to Greece. Named The Ancestral Collection, the series extends her practice beyond fine art and ceramics into softer, more immersive forms. Rooted in her Greek heritage and informed by personal journeys back to what she describes as the “Motherland”, each design begins as an original painted artwork. The collection feels like visual poetry, bringing together history, emotion and place through studies of light and shadow, organic forms and colors drawn from the Mediterranean landscape. Rocky hillsides, leafy valleys and endless blue horizons are distilled into painterly designs that capture a feeling of both escape and belonging. The result feels timeless, refined and easy to live with. Produced as linen-cotton textiles and PVC-free wallcoverings for residential and hospitality spaces, the collection is printed on demand using non-toxic inks. Based in Richmond, Virginia, Miller’s wider practice spans fine art, ceramics and immersive experiences, yet her work remains anchored in a singular emotional landscape — one that continues to return to the Aegean.
