Showcased in the windows of the centrally located Bel Boutique in the San Babila design quarter, ‘Only the Tanned Survive’ is the joint presentation of fashion designer Angelos Bratis and creative design studio Greece is for Lovers.
In a southern solidarity spirit, the group will present a selection of their creations from the fields of fashion and product design. Three key pieces chosen from Bratis’ Spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection inspired by the work of legendary Greek artist Yiannis Moralis, will stand alongside a selection of Greece is for Lovers’ most iconic pieces.
‘Only the Tanned Survive’, a catchy motto embroidered on an obscure clothes’ badge, was discovered while rummaging through a Berlin flea market. Through its simplicity and directness, it pays tribute to the eternal Greek summer essence: The stillness of high noon, buzzing cicadas, that essential beach and the fact that this is as good as it will ever get.
The window installations will be on display throughout the Milan Design Week.
