Zeus+Dione has unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, a study of dualities where myth, surrealism and craftsmanship converge under the creative direction of Marios Schwab. The collection, titled ‘Chimera’, explores the hybrid as a state of being—human and divine, instinct and intellect, persona and anima. Referencing the Chimera and Pegasus, it evokes the dissolution of boundaries and the fluidity of the female form. Silk scarves emerge as a focal point, featuring the reimagined ‘Chimera of Arezzo’ through a revived wood carving technique. This series anchors the line alongside embossed leather, sculpted metalwork and intricate embroidery, all interlacing human and animal motifs. Debuting this season are leo prints, framed as both neutral and statement, while silk fringes and tassels nod to Art Nouveau fluidity. Pearls punctuate necklines, sheer layers conceal bralettes, and elongated ribbons create moments of play between exposure and restraint. Knife pleats add rhythm, while structured peacoats and pleated trousers recall the nautical silhouettes of the 1920s and 1930s. The palette leans muted and grounded—pale and dark khaki, burgundy, smoky blue and cream. Signature spathoto silk shimmers with golden flecks, while Tempo fabric transitions across khaki, burgundy and blue. Both are dyed with eco-conscious methods that reduce water use, continuing Zeus+Dione’s commitment to responsible sourcing. Textures span from wool, velour and corduroy to shearling and denim-like blends, with leather rendered in primal finishes of snake, zebra, pony and leo. Accessories extend the narrative: black leather gloves become surfaces for ornamentation, braided belts reinterpret passementerie, and jewellery entwines lions, serpents and Pegasus wings in sculpted gold and platinum tones. Pearls, cords and chains thread through the pieces, binding mythic motifs with modern form. The result is a collection both grounded and ethereal, enigmatic and assured.
