Babis Makrides studied at the Stavrakos Cinema and Television School and belongs in a new generation of directors, named abroad as โโthe directors of the paradoxโโ. In 2005, his short film โโThe last Fakirโโ, was awarded at the Festival of Drama, revealing the first signs of his different approach as director. Although he is very young, he has already a significant presence as director in several TV commercials, short films and the cinema movie โโL. I amโโ, which was aired in 2012 and won the Grand Prix at the Molodist Festival in Kiev. The film โโL. I amโโ made also a remarkable impression at the Sundance Festival and the Festival of Utah, proving to the world the value of our Greek Babis Makrides with the unexpected and exceptional directorโs view.
