Housed in a heritage-old building in the bustling neighborhood of Plaka, The Dolli takes cues from the ancient world, while seamlessly blending with the vibrancy of the city. Offering its visitors breathtaking views of the Parthenon, the hotel was born from the meticulous renovation of a 1925 neoclassical private mansion. Walls are embellished with new and original artworks, including pieces from Pablo Picasso, Claude LaLanne and Jean Cocteau, with antiques and a collection of ancient Greek ceramics also on display, while the grand lobby features replicas of the original ceiling, doors and windows.
Marking the first opening of its kind from Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, the hotel is home to forty-six individually appointed rooms and suites, that can be transformed into larger apartments and pieds-à-terre, a state-of-the-art gym, and an all-day rooftop bar & restaurant with wraparound views. Intimate and highly curated in design, rooms and suites feature local and bespoke craftsmanship, heart-warming light and neutral palettes. Throughout the mansion, vast windows frame unique views of the streets, Parthenon and the hill of Acropolis. The rooftop bar & restaurant set on The Dolli’s fifth floor offers a menu that combines haute cuisine with casual dining, inviting guests on a journey of flavors from Europe to Asia, whilst immersing themselves in the striking Acropolis view.
