For about 10 days in February 2016, Larisa will breath in the rhythm of cinema, as the Artfools International Festival 2016 will host new artists and offer quality cinema to its guests. The organizational committee schedules and presents ten days of screenings, happenings, cinema workshops and master classes, while it also hosts significant cinema personalities, producing special screenings based on their overall work in the field of cinema. Once a youth cinema festival, the event soon gained popularity and further developed so as to officially accept submissions of artists regardless of age but with a youthful and fresh insight. The Youth section brings an air of creation of new talents; the International section is the link between Greece and foreign creators and the Students section showcases the talent of tomorrow’s filmmakers. The Festival’s attendees can also visit the city’ sights such as the Ancient Theatre, the Municipal Art Gallery,to live the city’s vibrant night life while having the opportunity to participate in short excursions to places such as Meteora, the Mount Olympus and the traditional village of Ampelakia.
