At 53d Dimitria festival of Thessaloniki, people and arts will meet again. Theater, dance, music, performances, visual arts, conferences, events and concerts will be the main part of this year’s event, focusing on creativity within every artistic medium and culture, as a creative journey for all.
From September 29 until October 21, the 53d Dimitria of the Municipality of Thessaloniki will continue, preserving the tradition of the largest institution of the city for more than half a century.
The new element comes from the theater. In the framework of the festival a new section is organized, the first theatrical showcase with performances such as “Oedipus”. The showcase will host important theater artists from various countries, including Serbia, Poland, Slovakia, Portugal, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Spain, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Austria, Georgia, the Israel, Germany, in order to expose theatrical talent from countries that maintain an importan theatrical tradition.
