DPOINT HOTEL VILLAGE

DPOINT HOTEL VILLAGE is an original and different “village” where furniture & decoration products as well as equipment for hotels will be showed. The organization constitutes the outcome of the successful cooperation of HELEXPO and the international platform INTERIORS FROM GREECE. During HOTELIA which is held together with PHILOXENIA at Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Conference Center in November 13-16, all bodies of the specific sector will have the chance to have a look at trends, products, concepts and also to exchange useful ideas and information that will make their professional activity really productive.

The DPOINT HOTEL VILLAGE project is based on the construction of a uniform space where the exhibitors will show their products in pre-manufactured stands of mutual philosophy. In this way, the HALL 12 of the Thessaloniki Exhibition Center will fill with the most representative product samples for the hotel equipment.
The overall concept focuses on the product itself through an innovative showcase method which has nothing to do with the idea of high-cost stands. This fact makes the project a totally democratic showcase procedure given that the visitors will be able to spontaneously prefer a certain exhibition product. At the same time, it is an alternative opportunity for the participating companies to get in contact with hotel executives as well as architects and decorators.

Main core of this avant-garde idea will be the DPOINT HOTEL DESIGN PROJECT. It is a team work project as 6 architects and industrial designers create model hotel rooms that respond to different requirements. Goal of the installed showrooms is the designation of complete solutions through the cooperation of professional creators with end product and material companies.
Responsible for DPOINT HOTEL DESIGN PROJECT (first showed in Furnidec 2014, Athens) are the following: Andreas Varotsos (industrial designer), Sotiris Lazou (industrial designer), Aspasia Taka (architect), Manolis Metrides (architect engineer), Giorgos Pitarokilis (mechanical engineer, industrial designer) and the new entry Yannis Georgaras (industrial designer).

DPOINT EVENTS
Still, the events do not stop here; on Saturday (15/11), the creators of DPOINT HOTEL DESIGN PROJECT will show each one separately the concept and features of his project during the DPOINT DESIGN TALKS. The speeches will be carried out in front of their inspiration rooms while later there will be an open conversation. Finally, on the last day of the organization (16/11), there is scheduled the DPOINT CONFERENCE “THE FUTURE OF HOTEL & RESTAURANT DESIGN” with the strategic support and curation of the international architecture website archisearch.gr. Some of the most prestigious names of the architecture and design sectors will talk about the design of hotel and restaurant spaces with the use of representative case-studies. More thoroughly, the speakers are Morfo Papanikolaou (Sparch Architects), Nikos Fletorides (Arch Group), Divercity Architects, Makrides Architects, Minas Kosmides, A&M Architects while the conference will be coordinated by Katerina Kotzia.
